Defiance is more than a distillery – it’s a vibe. Our distillery and bar is a chillout, kick-back, care-free place to enjoy a drink with friends or family.
Our bar is open from 12pm til late on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, serving a wide selection of our award-winning gins, rums and vodkas, as well as beers, wines, spirits and cocktails (and non-alcoholic drinks if that’s more your thing). Hungry? We’ve got that covered too, with tapas and sharing platters.

For the true gin connoisseur, Defiance Distillery’s Gin Academy gives you the chance to experience first-hand the art and science of creating your own unique bottle of gin.
We also offer a gin-tasting experience, where you can experience a selection of Defiance gins and rum.

The original Defiance experience. Make your own unique bottle of gin whilst enjoying a fine selection of in house G&Ts. Explore our distillery to find out how we make our award-winning gins and rums. Learn about the art and science behind blending botanicals to create your own unique bottle of gin.

- Light bites (cold cuts, cheese, meats, olives etc to share)
Final G&T whilst we discuss and document your botanicals on the bottle (500ml approx. 40% abv) - Approx 2.5 hours. The bar will remain open till 5pm as a pay per drink service. £6.00 per G&T (Draught beers also available)

Follow signs for Rochdale Town Centre. Turn left (Dane Street) at the lights past Asda and continue through lights and passed Aldi. Straight through next set of lights and left turn at the mini roundabout to Spotland Mill.
Via Rochdale Train Station, 1.9 miles
Take Tweedale street to Manchester Road. Turn right to lights at Dane street near Asda. Continue through lights past Aldi. Straight through next set of lights and left turn at the mini roundabout to Spotland Mill.
